The Word Of God

May 14, 2025

He humbled you by letting you go hungry. Then He gave you manna to eat, which you and your ancestors had not known, so that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Listen, then, O Israel. Commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Moses, Deuteronomy 8, 11

If you don’t fill your mind with the Word of God, the enemy will fill it with fear, anxiety, stress, worry, and temptation. (Note 1). To be able to wield the sword of God’s Word at every temptation, question, or uncertainty is God’s equipping and empowering us to live according to His Will. And gives rise to the peace that surpasses all understanding.
