What is my purpose? How shall I walk before God? We would not be human if this question did not roll through our mind at some moment. Herewith a Believer’s answer:
1. Be surrendered. Walk in humble fellowship with God, growing in sanctification until at the last I am made fully righteous. Be obedient and grateful, doing so with alacrity and fullness. Even unto the details. There are no halfway measures in ‘even unto the details’ (“even unto death on a cross”).
2. Bring honor and glory to God in everything I do.
3. Be a witness and a voice. We are dispatched each day on the Great Commission, where being a witness is the example of a life lived identified with Christ, and a voice is sharing the Good News at the slightest prompting of the Holy Spirit.
4. Be aware of my gifts and talents, and alert for opportunities to deploy them to do good for others. Pay attention, watching and listening for the slightest prompting of the Holy Spirit for special commissions. These run from something as seemingly inconsequential as a brief prayer with someone in the shopping aisle of a grocery store to being a missionary to Africa.
