All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT

Creation is binary. First, you either believe we crawled up out of the primordial soup. Or you believe that there is a Creator God. Binary. 0 or 1.

Second, God’s act of creation was in itself binary. Heaven and earth. Light and dark. Male and female. Creation being binary, it follows that reality is also binary. The creation narrative and binary notation are reflective of the intrinsic structure of reality.

If you believe in the Creator God, the instinct of your soul is to ask who is He? (Note 1) Why did He create the cosmos? Why did He create us? Those questions lead inexorably to the Revealed Truth of God’s Word. The Bible is the owner’s manual for Creation and the answer to the why questions.

So you have a binary choice. Ignore truth and reality. Or open God’s Word today.

Note 1: The soul and spirit are connected but separable (Hebrews 4:12-13). Our soul is the essence of our humanity. It is who we are now and for eternity. The Spirit is the indivisible part of humanity that connects in relationship with God.
