Those who dwell in the house of the Lord, shall be like green olive trees living a life of faith and holy confidence in God and His grace, constantly nourished by God’s presence, ensuring peace and security even amidst troubles.

It adds much to the beauty of the race we are called to run, and to fruitfulness in every grace, to be much in praising God. Nor are we ever in want of matter for praise. His name alone is our refuge and strong tower.

It is very good for us to wait on the saving name of Jesus. To wait quietly on the Lord. There is nothing better to calm and quiet our spirits when disturbed, and to keep us in the way of duty when tempted to use any crooked course for our relief. No one ever followed His guidance but that it ended well.

Note 1: Hesed (Hebrew), there is love, and there is hesed love. Hesed love is an unconditional extravagant love, the compulsion to give and to love without limit those who have no merit. Hesed love is an expression of compassion, mercy, faithfulness, and love impelled by a free-willed decision and not by obligation. Hesed is a defining characteristic of God linked to His compassion and graciousness. It is expressed in His willingness to forgive wrongdoing and to take upon Himself the sin, rebellion, and transgressions of His people.
