And He humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, that He might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Listen, then, O Israel. Commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Moses, Deuteronomy 8, 11

Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked person abandon his way and the sinful person his thoughts. Let him return to the Lord, that He may have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely forgive. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, yielding seed for sowing and bread for eating. So shall My word be that goes out from My mouth. It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose and succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:6-11
