Worldly wisdom, wisdom that contemplates only this life, fails even in its own sphere. It is both shallow and temporary, and comes crashing down when least expected to fail. The wisdom that comes from above is the only true Wisdom. This is because it is built on Truth. On the rules of order and right inherent in Creation.

Note 1: Fear of the Lord means taking God seriously, fearing His just judgment and holding Him in the utmost regard. It includes reverential awe and worship of Him, a worship based in reverent fear, love, and trust.
