Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees. Matthew 23:13-32

Truth is God’s gift to man. Woe to you if you stand in its way (Note 1). In closing the door to others, you shut yourself out from light.

Note 1: Standing in the way of truth includes speaking something that is untrue. Anything that is not truth is a lie and moral evil. Moral evil constitute deeds against God or one’s neighbor.
