Even Though, Yet I Will |5

Even though we have been beaten, put in jail, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, stayed awake through sleepless nights of watching, and gone without food, yet we will stand true to the Lord whether others honor us or despise us, whether they criticize us or commend us. Even though the world ignores us and we live close to death, yet we have God’s power helping us in all we do. Even though our hearts ache, yet we have the joy of the Lord. Even though we are poor, yet we give rich spiritual gifts to others and enjoy everything. 2 Corinthians 6:3-10, Adapted

The Apostle Paul and other followers of The Way have been under a great many afflictions and great hardships. Paul writes to the Church in Corinth to encourage faithfulness to their ministry; even though we have endured extreme suffering and troubles of every kind, yet we will rejoice in the Lord and stay steadfast on our mission.

Note: “Even though” is a conjunction used to introduce a contrast or unexpected situation between two clauses.
