Even Though, Yet I Will |6

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, yet I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 Adapted

Life is full of trials and troubles. Each of us face different demons and afflictions. Our God is a big God. There is nothing that He cannot walk you through. He has done bigger things. He asks only for your surrender, obedience, and trust.

Consider the following and your own “yet I will” response:

Even though my marriage is a mess, yet I will trust in the God of my salvation. I will remember my solemn vows and continue to love and honor my spouse, working daily to restore this gift from God.

Even though I failed my recent exam, yet I will seek the Lord’s guidance. I will not give up, seeking God for how I will overcome this minor setback.

Even though my health is hanging on by a thread, yet I will give gratitude to God for the life that I have and be thankful for my eternal salvation.

Even though my car just broke down and I have no way to get to work, yet I will not despair. This is just one day and, with the Holy Spirit’s guidance my path forward will be illuminated.

Even though the bank is foreclosing my house, yet I will trust in the Lord and seek His purpose and guidance in this misfortune.

Even though my children are prodigal and we are estranged, yet I will trust in the Lord and pray for their repentance, and for His will in the restoration of our relationship.

Even though I have lost my job, yet I will be confident in the Lord and His will for my life, trusting in His provision.

Even though, yet I will rejoice and trust in the Lord.

Note: “Even though” is a conjunction used to introduce a contrast or unexpected situation between two clauses.
