We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; they are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:22-24 Adapted

“For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God”(v 23) is a foundational Christian tenet. It means every person, regardless of background or circumstance, is inherently flawed and unable to meet God’s perfect, righteous standard through their own action. However, this verse is followed immediately by the hope of the Good News. Believers are “justified by grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (v 24). Forgiveness and reconciliation are a free gift and not something earned. This is God’s Word.
