Imagine you were a doctor, and you ran tests on a patient and learned they had some illness. But you did not tell them because it might hurt their feelings, or make them feel sad or unhappy. You would be sued for malpractice. Particularly if you had the cure for the disease.
The test is in. We are diagnosed with the terminal disease of sin. The cure for the disease is Jesus Christ. Because of the eternal consequences, a Christian is compelled to push past concerns of hurt feelings or unhappiness (Note 1). It is his mission to speak of the cure. We must each decide whether to take it.
Note 1: The Christian steward’s malpractice insurance: “Well done good and faithful servant.”
