The widespread failure of institutions and governance in the West has resulted in a breakdown of civil society. And calls from elites for A Great Reset. For government as god. Anarchy is at the gates. What now 2 do? Is there a better narrative?
We are in a series considering this totalitarianism versus freedom. On the trading of our birthright for pottage, where pottage is a metaphor for accepting feudal serfdom in return for the promise of security and sustenance from the king. To a return to the days of the Roman Empire.
We have been weaving an alternative vision to this dystopian totalitarianism. The series so far:

Creating The Future
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen (Note 1). Using art as the metaphor and medium, Makoto Fujimura, contemporary artist and author, takes us on a journey from lament to glory (Note 2). The journey from lament to glory is a grace journey. Fujimura contends that we can win the culture war by loving our enemies. By Offering Beauty Back Into A Devastated World. Art, too, is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. About creating a better story from impossibilities. Drawing on the ancient Japanese art form of kintsugi (Note 3), Fujimura shows us how to make something new and of greater value out of brokenness. How to behold the possibilities of the new glory that can be.

Note 3: The Japanese art form of kintsugi (also kintsukuroi) is described more fully in a @whatnow2do post from 2017. See here.
