Forever

Feb 18, 2024

Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever. It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed. Exodus 31:16-17. ESV

Like the Israelites, we are children of God called to obedient worship. There should, therefore, be no confusion about forever. When God, who is the Alpha and Omega, says forever, He means forever. He is worthy. And a day of rest is still part of God’s Creation design for His people; that we would be renewed and refreshed and that we would bring honor and glory to Him. Selah.

Shabbat shalom.
