Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. This is a trustworthy saying (Note 1): If we die with Him, we will also live with Him. If we endure hardship, we will reign with Him. If we deny Him, He will deny us. If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny who He is. 1 Corinthians 2, 2 Timothy 2

God is forever faithful. If you begin to question that, look for the second right answer.

Note 1: The Apostle Paul uses this phrase five times in the Bible (letters to Timothy and Titus) (“Paul’s Five Trustworthy Sayings”). Among other things, the repition draws our attention to the importance of what Paul is saying about the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
