The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than fine gold. By them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19 NKJV
Notice how Psalm 19 moves from praise and adoration to application. David begins by declaring that God’s judgments are true, righteous, and more valuable than gold. But he does not stop there. He ends with a personal prayer of obedience.
The evidence that God’s truth has taken root in our hearts is the fruit it bears in our thoughts, speech, and conduct.
