“Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you abide in Me. Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who abide in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5 NLT

All spiritual growth comes from surrender. Growth doesn’t begin with effort, but with yielding and abiding. You let go and what emerges on the other side of that death is something you couldn’t have manufactured.
