Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever! 1 Chronicles 16:34 NASB

It is almost impossible to overstate the power of gratitude. It is at the root of both goodness and happiness. Ungrateful people cannot be either good or happy. Indeed, such people are likely to be both errant and unhappy.

The Bible is clear; we are to be grateful and express thanksgiving for all the blessings God has provided. Here are some attributes of His character for which we can be grateful:

The Lord is Gracious, and righteous; yes, our God is compassionate. Psalm 116:5 NASB

Your Righteousness, O God, reaches to the highest heavens. You have done such wonderful things. Who can compare with you, O God? Psalm 71:19 NLT

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8 NASB

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the Truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 NKJV

Who is the King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty; the Lord Invincible in battle. Psalm 24:8 NLT

The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are Trustworthy. Psalm 111:7 NASB

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My Unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor My covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10

My son, do not reject the Discipline of the Lord or loathe His rebuke, for whom the Lord loves He disciplines, just as a father disciplines the son in whom he delights. Proverbs 3:11-12 NASB

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. Isaiah 40:28 NKJV
